Gaston College has 2 All-Region softball selections
After helping Gaston College set multiple school records this season, a pair of Rhinos' softball players have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region team for 2025.
Grace Kealy was named to the second team as a first baseman and Alayna Patrick was named second team second baseman.
It marks the second straight season both have been honored by the NFCA.
This season while leading Gaston College to a school-best 63-5 record and fourth place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series, Kealy and Patrick were two of the team's top hitters.
Kealy had a .425 batting average with 39 extra base hits (20 home runs) and 90 RBIs.
Patrick had a 420 batting average with 39 extra base hits (27 doubles) and 86 RBIs.
